| We use the Kofax Ascent Capture (KAC) software to
scan, index, and release documents to the IBM Content Manager
system. KAC allows for security in all aspects of document and
image processing from scanning, indexing (validation), and
releasing. You may set up as many departments or areas within the
software administration. All areas can be kept segregated from each
other for document security while the documents are being scanned
and validated. When KAC is used in conjunction with mid-range to
high-speed scanners, 10,000 - 100,000 documents can be scanned per
day, per scanner. In addition, you can use the built in OCR
technology to capture index data automatically. This reduces the
index and validation times, and improves accuracy and efficiency.
With KAC you can use lookup databases to assist in pre-filling
index fields. This also assists with the reduction of overall
processing time.
